The government's proposal during Budget 2020 to lower the price threshold for high-rise properties in urban areas from RM1 million to RM600,000.

However, each state has the freedom to set their own price threshold, so you would need to check with the registered property agent or a lawyer on the threshold in the state of your choice. (Different states different minimum entry)

Car Purchase

You will be given exemptions on import duty and excise duty tax:
1. when you bring in your own personal car
2. when you purchase a locally-assembled car

The personal car has to be imported into Malaysia within 6 months from the date of endorsement of MM2H Visa.

Purchase of locally-assembled car has to be completed within 12 months from the endorsement of the MM2H Visa.
